Ive had this guy since saturday He looks pretty good to me for what it went through at the store. Today his incurrent siphon seems to be gaping? Is this normal for a deresa. He still has good refex and Im sure nothing is picking on him. All the pics of them in the pic heavy post have more closed up siphons except for one. Heres a shot of the max too.. hes doing awesome and is starting to put some shell on.

Sorry my idiot fish got in the way. And yes I do take very good care of that tang. I rescued him from a previous owner that almost killed him. He lost his dorsal and lower fins bcause of that but he is very active and tangish now.

it is a little wide for a derasa, any parameter issues ( alk ) and is he always next to the hammer?

It looks normal today. The hammer isnt even close to it although it looks like it in the pic. I just added new carbon last night thinking maybe there was something in the water. The water is good and stable. Alk 8 cal 425 and mg 1400. I guess he just felt like being wierd yesterday. Thank you for your time.
