The needle valve is most likely what you would change to make it more precise. I definitely recommend another regulator. I have been through many and have grown tired of regulators breaking shortly after the warranty expires.

The price on these keeps jumping every time I provide the link. Mine was $119 when I got it. Either way, it has a three year warranty (Milwaukee has 6 months) and is already equipped with a precision needle valve. I had a check valve go bad and they sent another one in the mail with no questions asked.

I am also wondering because I am ready to give up on my jbj. The needle valve is so inaccurate that I have to readjust every 2 days. I heard the reef fanatic are good ones. What is the best set and forget?
THANK YOU!
if you get one might as well get the best right!!
thanks
