1 question from new guy

I have had my tank up and running for about 3 months Everything seems ok and I do nt want to do any coral as they seem to be alot ut every time I go to the fish store my kids see the clown playing(hosting) in the anemones are they considered coral? Or can I get a few of them in a tank without needed all kind of special stuff?

you need good light and good parments for anenome they are not corals but inverts. usually you can get a few if they are the same species

An anemone isn't a coral. They are pretty picky, so I'd let your tank get more established before I added one. If you want to get one, research what kind you want to get. Also be sure to put something around your powerheads so they don't get sucked into them. I learned the hard way. This anemone lived through that, btw. I now have mesh around my tunze powerheads.

I am no where near ready for them just asking questions how would I put something around the powerheads?

Really helped me when I was curious about getting a nem.

I'd recommend trying to easy care corals first though... mushrooms, zoos, ricordias, leathers. They don't require any special care, just a bit of light and alright params. They can come in some brill colours too, and clowns sometimes use them as hosts instead! :D

These are my Juvy Clarki Clownfish In a Sebae anenome. Learn all you can before investing . Today much to everyone horror the larger femal with the white tip on her tail, beat the male damn near to death. I had to race to remove her, and he will be awhile in recovery.

Imo get 1 Oecallirs Clown and try a few soft corals for it to host when it is an adult. Anemone bring out strange urges in clownfish. Many types of Clown fish are mean and Territorial, Anenome make it worse. Also they take alot of specific care.
