My what I think is an A. gemmifera is not coloring up at the base. When I got it a month ago it was in really bad shape. It has grown about .25" and colored up really nice except for the base and center. There are two acro crabs in it both of which I think are the good ones (they have the bandit mask). Can they be causing this? The bleaching seems to be mostly in the places they go. Or do you think it is a lack of flow or nutrients. My other acros are doing great and growing. Cal 425 Alk 8 Mag 1400 and stable. Can anyone id that browned out deepwater in the bottom right corner? Thankyou

Sorry for lousy pics

To me it looks like lack of flow to the base of the coral u might have enough at the top, but its a pretty tight branched coral so maybe ur not getting enough flow through the branches.

You have very nice growth tips so that is an indicator that its fine.I wouldnt worry about the base too much because its not going to get enough light anyway.

Its not the crabs causing the problem..Its a thick branched coral and it probably is not getting enough flow and light at its base.
