I'd like to construct a PVC probe holder to place my probes in. I think this seems like the most stable way to get readings from the probes.

Has anyone done this? I was thinking of just getting 3/4" pvc piping, 4 threaded T's (ph, orp, temp, conductivity) and 4 1/2" compression fittings from usplastics.

Will this work? Do the probes need to be a certain depth in the fittings? I would think that only the bottom 1/2 - 1" of the probe would be able to go into the compression fitting.

For $10, it isn't worth building a holder.

This works great:

I like that.

www.marinetechnical.com will construct one for you to hold multiple probes, I would guess that it would be more than 10 bux though.

Here's another idea, I have mine mounted with these. Just a little cheaper!

Here is an industrial design for completely submersing pH probes. Note that the probe itself in located inside the PVC tubing at the lower end. I will be making something like this shortly.
