I wanted to add some baffles to my sump to remove microbubbles. I am not sure the best way to do this because the sump is a 20 gallon AGA already under my 90 gallon and I can't take it out to replace it without removing the tank. Can I shut off the tank for a little over 24 hours to dry the sump so I can silicone in the baffles? I have a Fully stocked tank with SPS, LPS, Softies, fish, invertebrates, etc. and I don't want to kill anything. I don't know of any silicone that will cure under water? Also what baffle height? should the first one be at, above or below water level and the next have about an inch of clearance underneath it so the water will pass freely under it? and then the third will be slightly above the surface water level?
Thanks for the info.

I'd look at the Life Reef sumps, they have a good design and may be able to prove and answer to the hight problem you're asiking about
