A skimmer will remove things in the water like detritus that contain nutrients, yes. Just which "nutrients" that you're adding are you concerned about it removing, Mikro?

Yes, skimmers can remove the good stuff as well.

The lowest seemed to be calcium, and dkh

Calcium and dkh are not nutrients... the skimmer will not remove those.

Mikro...that's right...the skimmer will not remove or reduce calcium or alkalinity (dkh). Coral will deplete them though. So, seeing them both go down is normal and regular dosing is perfectly normal in reef-keeping.
