UV Help

I am considering running a UV on my 225 reef and needed some feedback, Brand recomended , Pro's & Con's, wattage and flow. Trying to control algea. Thanks for the help, Karl-Kustomreefer

im using a lifegard 40 watt on my 180 and before i installed it i had a serious algee bloom and withing a day and a half it was gone.got mine from marine depot and love it.its a little on the bulky side but i just installed it outside my stand for now since im going to build some extra storage space i didnt mind.
