I'm new to this hobby. I have something(s) flitting near the surface of my 55 gal tank. They appear to swim well-up, down and all around. They are very quick. They are almost to small to see and I doubt any of my cameras could actually capture a picture. Any ideas?

There are a ton of micro organisms that live in seawater.
Could be any kind of little shrimps, pods, plankton, etc.
We'd need a good photo to give you a proper ID.

Sorry, but as I said above, they are barely visible to the eye and I don't have any cameras that will photo that small. Just looking for ideas!

Joe,

What do they look like, what color are they. As Loyal mentioned there are thousands over tiny animals that inhabit the ocean and without seeing them or without a description we can't possibly tell you what they could be. My RT has so many different tiny animals in it, some I recognize most I don't but small inverts in the tank is a good sign that your water paramiters are good as many would not survive in poor conditions.
