View Full Version : Stocking Question
My 33g currently has a pair of breeding Bangaii's, a young pair of True Percs, and a Hector's Goby residing peacefully. There is also a Peppermint shrimp, and a Cleaner shrimp. The tank is 1 year 3 months old. Am I pushing the bio-load? I'd like to add a Pearly Jawfish and an Orchid Dotty, but I know that would be too much. Can I add just the Jawfish or would this be unwise?

As far as bioload, those are really small fish. I dont think it would make a difference if it were just to add the two. As far as them getting along in a smaller tank, thats a different story.
You don't think it would be overstocking to add even BOTH of them? Hmmm...
I think the Jawfish would be ok as far as getting along since he will occupy a space only shared by the Goby. My biggest worry is the Goby and Jawfish getting along. I think if I added an Orchid Goby there may be rivalry from the Percs and Bangaiis.
I'm getting the stuff together for a bigger tank, but I'm not sure when that will happen. I want a 24" or 30" cube.
