lighting question

ive decided that its time to upgrade my lighting and am looking at MH fixtures at the mo not sure if im going to diy a hood or buy a unit

i have a small problem as my tank has a center brace running across it

my tank is 3foot and i was looking at a 2foot 150w MH & t5 antinic arcadia or similar unit for the tank which would be sufficient

my question would the center bar become a problem with the halide light? as my budget is tight and i would only be getting a 1x150w not a twin fixture?

and the only other solution to this would be to diy a top

any help or advice appriciated

also i have spoken to the seller and can get this within my budget what do u guys think any good or should i leave alone?
