If you go to www.cherrycorals.com and buy the $499 starter pack, right off the bat you have the ability to control one Tunze Stream, pH and Temp probe, 6 outlet digital power bar, and the Profilux Plus II controller. There is also an RS232 cable for connecting the controller to your PC.

The controller has 3 available expansion slots. You will see that some interface cards include two different expansions on one card such as Conductivity and Redox.

If your looking to get the thunderstorm and sun rise effect you will need the simu LED light stick or the simu LED spot light, these would connect on the back of the controller in one of the L# slots.

This is what you'll need to replace the AC Jr. and have the Thunderstorm and Sunrise effects:

Profilux Plus II starter pack (http://www.cherrycorals.com/product.php?productid=342&cat=26&page=1)

Simu Spot light (Thunderstorms and Sunrise) (http://www.cherrycorals.com/product.php?productid=144&cat=28&page=1)

Profilux Plus II manual (http://www.ghl-kl.de/Produkte/Aquaristik/Download/Manual_ProfiLuxII_V109.pdf)

What's the difference between the spotlight in the above link and the stick here? http://www.cherrycorals.com/product.php?productid=141&cat=28&page=1 I have the stick myself but was just curious if it was more dependent on the application or what.

Well the spot gives more directional light and is great for tanks over 5 feet as you can place one either end. And the sticks are great for more all over coverage and smaller tanks than 5 feet.

But the stick is also great for over 5 feet when paired (i.e use of two together)
