I've been running a corallife superskimmer 125g on my 46g tank and 29g sump (I have it as a hang on the sump due to little clearance inside the cabinet so it hangs on the sump and pops out the back opening) It's been fine until recently. I've cleaned it and made sure the air holes are unobstructed. I'll dial it in and it will hold for hours, but then for no reasons, it starts pulling a ton of water.

It's creating issues with the salinity since it triggers the reserve pumb.

any suggetsions, this is really annoying!!

sounds like too much air is flowing throu it which causes the bubles to overflow and just haul water.
try maybe dialing it down a notch and see.

i dont know. thats my 0.02

thank you for getting back to me, not sure, the weird thing is that it will be dialed in for hours, than suddenly it goes wacko

when you say it "starts pulling a ton of water" do you mean that the bubbles are going crazy, or do you mean there are no bubbles and it is ONLY pulling water?

I had a CSS125 with similar issues, let me know what specifically, and we can try to get this figured out

thanks Ben, it starts spewing over with more water than bubbles.
