octopus skimmer users

i am wondering where everyone is keeping there water levels inside the skimmer and in the sump where it stands. just got a nw150 and have been playing around with it, and thought i might save some time asking. thanks for any advice.

i have the nw 200 and it skims better at a lower water level in sump. i keep mine at about 6 inches

I have the water line in my sump about an inch above the pump or about half way up the input bulkhead that enters the skimmer from the pump and have the water lvl set about even with the edge before it tapers.
