I think I had a PH probe go bad about six weeks ago. The PH probe went from 8.10 to 5.5 overnight. So I lived with it for a couple of weeks and finally ordered an new one with a extra temp probe to go with it. It is a year old now so it is probably due to be changed.
Well, this morning I woke up and the lights were not turning on. The temp was reading 124.5. So stuck my hand in the water and it felt fine. I then grabbed my Hanna and the temp was 77F. Is it common for the temp to go bad too? I would hate to see it go bad in the other direction. I will be replacing both PH and Temp tonight as I didn't have time this morning before work. I just disabled both and reset the thermostat on my heater.
