A while back I rescued a toadstool leather, from a lfs that was killing it. It did bounce back wonderfully in my tank. I do have someone who wants it with a bigger tank. It has attached(at the base) to a large foundation piece of my live rock wall. What is the best way to remove it? I like the coral myself, wife hates it, but, simply put, it has grown too much for my liking in my 40 gal.

Depending on how big the base of it is, Grab a very sharp pair of scissors, and cut it clean at the lowest part of the base. Otherwise if the base is too large, get a very sharp knife and cut the base clean off as close to the rock as possible.

I figured as much, however, like any operation I wanted a second opinion.
