I currently have a 2.5" Goldflake that was purchased from Serdar at Phishy. He is eating everything and is very healthy. I have LPS, but he hasn't touched them yet. They are a very active and beautiful fish, mine is always up front in the open water with my anthias. Well worth the $$.

I'd one about 3" with a bunch of angels and it never bothered anyone. It grew about an inch in one year and ate pellets, frozen and nori. It died from the tank crash when I moved 6 months ago. Great fish and didn't touched any of the corals.

I have one thats pretty big, she has been a AWesome citizen in my tank. Hasnt touched any clams, zoas, leathers or lps. One of the most active fish I have ever seen. I dont regret buying her.

Well mine will be here tomorrow. Looking forward to eat. It already eats like a pig in its holding tank. I will definately post some pics when it's all acclimated. Thanks for the responses, much appreciated. Regards, Tim

I had one for about 3 years. Great fish - really personable. When I would scrape algae all the other fish would run and hide, but the goldflake would follow the scraper around the tank. One day it started hiding more and wouldn't eat much. The next day it wouldn't eat at all, that evening it died. That one hurt. I never really figured out why.

A small one so far so good- If I can only get my PBT to stop harrasing him.

gasman059, do you have this in your (grogeous) sps system? No problems with nipping?

The GoldFlake should be here in an hour or so. Can't wait. Hopefully my PBT and Juv. Emperor gives him his space. The Goldflake is a good inch bigger than the angel and PBT. I also move the liverock around a bit to disrupt their specified territories. Will post pics soon. Thanks for all your input everyone! Regards, Tim

i had a juvi (size of a quarter) in my 180 reef. he only nipped at the tentacles of my brown ugly button polyps. had SPS, clams, LPS, zoos etc. lost him to a hot tank... :( definitely will get another juvi. i like them better then adults! that or a goldflake x flagfin hybrid :)

I ordered one from my supplier a couple of months ago, I ordered a small and received a 5" adult. I put it the mixed reef display tank and he did very well. Ate everything i put in there. After a few days of being in there he started to eat the acans and the favias. I removed him after that and sold him. A truly amazing fish and I will try another one but it will be smaller.

Here is my favorite 8" Goldflake. NOT SPS safe. This guy like's SPS. Other than that it is a model citizen with other angels and fish. Love's Spectrum pellets.

I keep a 7-8" Goldflake. Ho occasionally nibbles on my millies (not causing any real damage) but leaves the other acro's alone (at the moment). He has finished off plenty of zoas and an open brain (I was pleased about the zoas as they were rampant)
