I just filled my tank to check for leaks. It's been full for just over 24 hours now with tap water and I'm going to drain it. Do I need to clean the tank out with anything specific or is tap water OK to use? I have some BTF Iodophor Sanitizer that I can use but do I need to go that far?

What's the standard practice? It's a new tank and I know I shouldn't use tap water for the tank but I had to test it.

Thanks
Dave

Don't worry about it, there won't be enough of anything to cause a problem.

I agree, drain as much as you can, but dont worry about whats left in the tank.

Sounds good. I just drained it and dried it out with a towel real good.

Blown 346, what do you have for a car? I have a Dart based 347 that is going in my 93 Mustang. I had a cogged YS trim Vortech on it but had to sell to pay for surgery. Now I'm going T6 framed turbo.

Thanks guys
Dave

hey now were talking autos--
years ago nothing topped my 327 that was bored out and blueprinted with 350 heads and a quadrajet. Had a 3/4 race cam in it--scoped out at 450 hp. Had it in a 1964 chevy 11.:smokin:

I was shooting for 800-900rwhp. Now I'm going to settle for 650rwhp unless I up the injectors and go with E85.

I have a friend with an original hipo 327 from a vette or camaro that was rebuilt and is still hanging from a chain hoist in the shop. It was rebuilt in the late 70's and has not been touched since. I tried to inquire. He wasn't having it.
