can a rubbermaid be used a QT? I currently have a 10g glass tank, but I also have 45g rubbermaids.... would those work fine?

Yes they will work great, as long as they havent had any type of soap or chemical in them.

nope atm I use 2 of them to hold RO/DI water and SW and have had no problems
