Bought 5 nass snails.....where did they go ?

I bought 5 nass snails a week ago..I haven't seen them since.

I know they bury them selfs in the sand....but do they ever come out ?

How will I know if their dead or not ?

They should come out when you feed. Oh, do you have fish in there that you are feeding?

Throw some food in there. They should surface and start snooping around when they smell the food in the water.

You still also may be able to see their tubes sticking out of the sand if you look closely

Ya...3 fish.

The nass snails are only about 1/4" to 1/2" big, so I will have to look for the very small tubes.

Night critter but will come out if food is senced. You could place a few small bit of raw shrimp on the bottom and they will swarm. They wouls like some food that fish and inverts can help with.They dont need feeding as they feed off waste ,dyeing life ,uneatin food and will help sift the sand.

It always amazes me how quickly those guys sense the food when I feed. Always within 2 or 3 seconds of my dumping food in, they emerge from the sand. Very cool.
