litermeter + y fitting

i was wondering if on the intake of two pumps i could use a y fitting like this http://www.thefilterguys.biz/images/14x14x14QUICKFITTINGSYS.jpg

so that there will only be one tube going towards my RO/DI storage.

That should work fine. I was thinking there might be a problem if both pumps are on simultaneously, but the Litermeter only activates one pump at a time.
