Just added a geo kal reactor, should i stir less ? right now i am stiring every 6 hrs should i not stir as much , i also have a geo 618 calcium reactor. that is on-line as well any advice? PH is 8.5

That's a tough question to answer. A pH of 8.5 isn't high enough to cause problems, in my opinion and experience. I wouldn't worry too much if that's the daily high, but less stirring might reduce the peak.

A pH of 8.5 is ok, but much higher is not. What is the daily range? How did you measure it?

Adding less limewater (less frequent stirring of the reactor for example) would help, as would more aeration, assuming the alkalinity is not excessive:
