Are the blue slimers as easy to keep as the green bali slimers?

Yes IMO. They both like high light and flow. I keep both on top under 400 MH. My green slimer has to be trimmed regular.

My blue slimers are still taking their time starting to grow like the green slimers but I'm confident they will shoot up quickly in the next couple of months.

Wow Blue Slimer :) Very nice.... Pics please
Thanks
Simon
i had a "blue slimer" and it was only blue at the tips and coralites... rest was pale
now... there are a ton of other blue stags out there that could be called a blue slimer ... so thats what is gonna make this discussion a little confusing for some
i have a picture perfect blue formosa... but i wouldnt call it a blue slimer

I probably should have been more scientific and say blue acropora yongei.

is the blue one you have real slimy? the misconception is the
bali slimers are yongei's which imo they are actually formosa's

This is an old photo - several months old - Stags grown into each other and slimer is almost flat on top now, growing out of the water as in this one

I have a thick branching sliming blue stag. Under high light, this thing is nice and blue. Grows very fast for me. It got as big as 24" across as seen here. I had to cut it back last year...burned out a couple of dremel cutting disc...turn in several huge frags to a LFS for a few hundred bucks in store credit. Now it's overgrown again already. I've been told it's a blue slimer because it slimes like crazy when handled. BTW, this blue slimer is practically impossible to kill. It browns out easily when it doesn't get enough light/flow but colors up quickly under strong light and current. I have a brown piece in my refugium for the past 2 years that's been stung/abused but still grows....just not as blue.

Here is mine up to the right next to the green. They look exactly identical in coral structure and such. Both slime equally when they are clipped with anyone can agree is pathetic. I have never seen an acro slime as bad as these do...
