I am cross-posting upon suggestion to see if anyone here can shed some light on what's happening...

Hello,

I'm hoping that someone can shed some light on our problem. We have set up a new 75gl FOWLR tank, 25lb live crushed coral on top of 60lb new, 40lb of fully cured live rock on top of 50lb lace rock. The tank has been active for 6 weeks with a AquaC Remora Pro skimmer and a Rena SmartFilter 55 running in it. It seems that almost any fish that we put in it lasts about a week and dies. We've gone through 10 Chromis (not all at once), a Spotted Goby, a True Percola, 2 blood shrimp, and a couple of other small Damsels that I don't recall. The symptoms all seem the same; they become lethargic, they do not eat, their color fades and they begin breathing faster and faster to the point that their mouths are constantly open at the end. We still have a Coral Beauty and a Banggai Cardinal that seemed to be surviving but we pulled them out and put them in a QT to save them.

A couple of other symptoms are that they seem to hug the bottom once this sets in and stay pretty stationary. The fish seem fine for about 4 days then the symptoms start and they are dead within 2 days.

The above pictures are on a Domino Damsel that just died. We tried a fresh water dip but it did not survive.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
