I an currently running a ER RS 135 on my 120 mixed reef with about 35 gallons or so in my sump. Just don't feel like the ER is pulling its weight anymore. Anyone have any thoughts on a new brand of skimmer? Price is not really an issue just want good performance and efficiency
-Thanks, Scott

If price is not an issue, Bubble King EXT150. But, my guess is that $1300 for a skimmer is a little much. You could gat an ATB cone small and it would kick butt too, but again IIRC they are around $850. THe MSX 200 is the best bang for your buck right now, and will skim great for $350.

jackfrost: I assume that you'v enever used a QUALITY NW/MW skimmer? the PM skimmers are nice, but only if electrical usage is of no concern....and the OP lives in Vegas where I would guess electricity isn't cheap :D

With the ATB small, you'll be able to feed heavily, keep FAT fish, and healthy corals on your 150g system. Also, they are $800, not $850 like I posted earlier :D

So, no, IMO it is NOT overkill....just means you can keep a more natural reef with fish that feed multiple times throughout the day.
