i just got my aquasurf and two 6055 nanstreams.i have no idea how to write the code needed to run my pumps(i had to get help just to program it originally).here is what id like to do with the controller.

pump 1 on at 100% for 30 seconds
pump 2 off

pump 2 on at 100% for 30 seconds
pump 1 off

pump 1 on at %70 for 1 minute
pump 2 off

pump 2 on at %70 for 1 minute
pump 1 off

pump 1 on at %60 for 1 minute
pump 2 on at %60 for 1 minute

please help me write the code needed to make this work.

I don't quite understand what you are asking for but maybe some background will help....

The AquaSurf runs a pump profile. A profile is a set or parameters for time on and time off (as low as .1 seconds) and percentage of pump power.

A profile is selected using conditions you choose (e.g., based on a light on/off or time, etc).

It appears that you are asking for a pump to be on at 100% for 30 sec, then off for 30 sec, then on at 70% for 1 min, then off and then on at 60% for 1 min. This might be possible but would be very different than what most people do. Is this really what you want?

Here is what I have, maybe it will help you...

Timers (2, 6201 Tunze pumps, facing each other across a 6' tank):

WV1#-E01
WV2#-E02

I use 6 profiles, 1 switches between 30/75% when the VHOs come on. The next, 30/100% when then MhD comes on and a gentle wave between 30/50% when lights are out.

If Timer VHO = ON Then WV1 PF1
If Timer VHO = ON Then WV2 PF2
Pmp MODE sD for PF1
Pmp Int 030/075 for PF1
Pmp OSC 04/08/00 for PF1
Pmp MODE SD for PF2
Pmp Int 030/075 for PF2
Pmp OSC 00/08/04 for PF2
If Timer MHD = ON Then WV1 PF3
If Timer MHD = ON Then WV2 PF4
Pmp MODE sD for PF3
Pmp Int 030/100 for PF3
Pmp OSC 04/08/00 for PF3
Pmp MODE SD for PF4
Pmp Int 030/100 for PF4
Pmp OSC 00/08/04 for PF4
If Timer VHO = OFF Then WV1 PF5
If Timer VHO = OFF Then WV2 PF6
Pmp MODE sD for PF5
Pmp Int 030/050 for PF5
Pmp OSC 04/08/00 for PF5
Pmp MODE SD for PF6
Pmp Int 030/050 for PF6
Pmp OSC 00/08/04 for PF6

Does this help?

im not really sure what i want yet, these pumps are going in a 32x32x16 rimless.i wanted them to give me random flow while ramping up and down in a cycle.only one pump would be on until they hit the 60% cycle then both pumps are on.

after reading your post more i can see how yours is setup.your pumps are slowing down at night when the MHS are off and ramping up when on.so your lights kind of drive your programmimng i suppose.

Yes, that is correct; gentle waves in the morning (VHOs on), largest waves late morning (MhDs on) and very calm waves at night (lights out). I find that the pumps facing each other gives good random currents as nothing is perfectly balanced in a tank so things bounce around.

If you want more randomness you could drive a dummy timer using a RND or OSC command, then based on the dummy timer being on/off select the profile. That would let you toggle between a couple of profiles randomly.

can i program mine like yours and have the pumps alternating back and forth?or will they both be one at the same time?i plan on one pump being on the bottom front of the tank and one on the opposite side on the top of the tank.

Feel free to use my program; free of charge;)

You may want to change the on/off times (in the OSC statements) to suit what you want wrt size of wave, current, etc.
