Hello--My Mag was down around 900 and I started using Epson Salts and my Mag is now 1350 as of today. It took about 2 weeks and I dont see any problems yet.--Jerry

It can be used.......but it should not be your sole Mg supplement. It is actually Magnesium sulfate heptahydrate, and as the sulfate implies, it will raise your sulfate levels to higher than desired. If you wanted to mix Magnesium chloride and Epsom salts in a 10:1 ratio, that would give you an ionically similar additive to seawater Mg. If you use Epsom salts exclusively and soley.......you are lighting a fuse.......how long that fuse will go until detonation...just depends.
