I just put some live rock in my tank and a little white crab with blck tipped claws came out...What kind of crab is it? is it good or bad?

Pictures help... Good rule of thumb is if it is hairy it is bad!! But get a picture so it can be ID'd before you do anything rash.

A good rule of thumb is that if it's crab, it's destructive. There are some crab-like animals (porcelain crabs) that are okay, but most all true crabs can be destructive.

I'm sick and tired people saying that if they are hairy automatically name it bad and toss it, thats for the most part isnt true. Emerald crabs are hairy but aren't bad so..
and yes please provide a pic so we can try our best to id

I agree. Emerald crabs are abundant in reef tanks and they have hair.
