I know that Seachem has stated at least twice their salt mix does not contain any vitamins because 'they could not survive in the harsh environment of a salt mix", yet I believe at least 2 or 3 other popular salt mixes including Tropic Marin do contain various vitamins. I've also been told by one of the importers for Tropic Marin that their salt should ideally be used within 6-9 months of manufacture to ensure the potency of the vitamins.
So I'm curious, is Seachem correct that vitamins cannot survive in a salt mix?
