Lately, I have been playing around with some software that lets me do time lapse photography. Basically... I can tell my camera to take a picture every X number of seconds for a duration of time. At a 5 second interval thats 12 shots a minute... about 1300 shots in 113 minutes. I was trying to get pics of my urchin... but whenever I set my camera up it wouldn't even move!

Today I got some frags in the mail from storrisch, here's a link to the thread so you can see his pics.

I had my camera ready when I opened the box so I could photograph a specimine that might be DOA... but the frag looked good and I acclimated him for about 45 minutes. While I was doing that... I realized my new polyp coral would be the perfect stop motion subject! So without any further blabbing on my part... here's the link to the video!

Thanks again to storrish, I'm happy to see the coral acclimating well... though the fingers of the polyps don't look pointy yet like they do in your pics.

I love it! You did an awesome job making that video.

I made a similar video of my Scolymia eating a silverside. Its no where near the quality, or duration as your video, but its pretty neat...
