Brown stuff???

I have this type of algae or brown stuff growing in my glass and on my living rock, it only started when i put in my lights for my tank, my tank has being running for about a month now i have one clownfish, two turbo snails and one blue legged hermit crab any ideas on how to get rid of it?

it sounds like a diatom bloom because the tank is still cycling.

This is normal. Almost Everyone gets it. Just keep doing your water changes and all will be fine.

How many water changes do you suggest per month/week? i did a 20 litre water change last week thats around 20% of my main display tank not including the sump.

My water params are
ammonia 0mg/l
Nitrite 0mg/l
Nitrate 12.5mg/l ( need to do more water changes to get this under control just recently added a refugium with a clump of macro algae)
PH 8.2
Salinity 1.024
Temp 78-81 Fahreinheit
Living Rock: I've got 54lbs
