i mixed up 30 gallons of fresh saltwater, mixing for 4 days, tested the water and both alk and calc were low, i then buffered with 2 part bionic, obviously i added to much, when i took the lid off the brute everything was white, is there anything i can do to save the water or do i need to dump it?
TIA

The "white" is just calc/alk that has precipitated ... test the water again and provide the readings.

Further ... what salt mixture are you using? Almost all salt mixtures do a decent job of providing reasonable levels of calc and alk and don't require any additives.

i understand that the parameters are ok, im just wondering what will happen when i use the water for a water change, will it clear up or still be cloudy? And thanks for your quick responses Kevin

As stated you s/b fine. The white precipitation is akin to having aragonite sand floating in your water ... going to fall to the bottom or disolve.

Is there any water movement in the container? I used to get this when I'd make water and leave it sit a bit, I added a small powerhead in the container and now it stays clear.
