Im thinking of setting up a Reef Club which will be hosted at my house (but im not sure yet). Im just wondering if i could setup a 15gallon for frag swaps which will just be filled with water once every month for a few hours while the frag swaps are going on. Obviously i would get a lgith and PH but would this be sufficient for corals for say 5-7 hours. And this will be setup just once a month for 5-7 hours.
So it would be;
15G Frag Tank
Light Unit
Powerhead.

Just setup a tank put a heater in it and put some kind of light over it so the colors of the corals can be seen. Then just float the bags. No need to acclimate and place the frags in the tank.

I would think that this would add stress to the corals, they would be taken from a home tank, dropped into a 2nd tank for a few hours, and then taken to a third tank. It is likely that some of these corals might not even open during this time period. I would think it would be best to keep the corals in bags or plastic containers the whole time.
