Hey, can you guys give me an idea of how often, and what you feed your BTA's? and by what method you use? I am going to be picking up a small green BTA soon and want to have the proper food and such to be able to keep it happy.

I usually fed my RBTA once a week a whole silversides, but since I ran out, I may stop feeding it that because I have read a few things on what they can do to anemones if they are not good quality, so I am switching over to using shrimp...and maybe some salmon or other kind of high quality raw fish meat.

However, if you want an anemone to grow, I would say twice a week, and vary the diet a little.

Of course...I would say, feeding a 4 or 5" anemone a silverside or a whole shrimp everyday would def. be excessive...

I feed my BTA (4-5") a chunk of scallop a little larger than a skittle 5 days out of the week. Do you think I am over feeding?

What do you mean five day out of the week? Five days straight? Or every five days?

I feed on Mon, Wed, Thur, Sat, Sun

I would say feeding Mon, Wed, Fri, and then Sat night would be basically a healthy max for an anemone, I would have to say, bringing it down to 3 times a week would be better...also keep in mind that what goes in, comes out in one form or another...;)

I feed my GBTA 3 times a week: Silversides soaked in Zoecon. It gets mysis everyday from the clarkii clown.
