What is the proper water level in sump in inches for the above skimmer? I have one running in a large sump that runs with 11 inches of water in the skimmer chamber. The unit is skimming wet most of the time and movement of the tube does not do much in terms of water level adjustment on the downside. I would think raising the skimmer a bit will fix the issue. Just need to know opitmal level. Thanks.

It should be in 20-25 cm of water, which converts to 7.9"-9.8"

pryan - did you lower your water level? How is it skimming for you now? I noticed you posted a similar question in the ZEO forum. Seems like you've spent quite a bit of time trying to dial in your skimmer. Are you happy with it?

Yes, I raised the skimmer 1.5 inches and it is skimming much better. I have much more control over the water level. I think it is a terrific product. This skimmer replaced a Deltec 902. The Deltec worked good but you can not compare it to the BK. The quality of construction combined with low power usage and no noise make it a real value in my book. I ran them both at the same time and the BK clearly pulled out more junk. Just wish it came with a manual as I did not realize that it just will not skim dry with 10.5 inches of water in sump. Finally figured out after looking through all the posts in this forum - thanks to all for the posts.

Pryan - I'm very happy that it's working out for you now. I know it can be frustrating when things aren't working out, and you're not getting much help on the forum either!
PM me your email address, and I can email you the pdf for the manual, unless you already have it :)
Deltec's make great skimmers too! So it's good to hear that you like the BK at least just as much.
How about sharing some Nog pics with us now that you've got it dialed in? :)
