So I got my Joe's Juice and nuked a colony of juevenille aiptasia.

I got a bunch of the milky stuff on my rock now (which just happens to be one of my best coraline rocks). Does it just go away or should I use the turkey baster to spray it off?

Either or would be fine. leaving it there may kill off the coraline underneath it, but no biggie.

If it dies off it will come back

Yes, it will. But I would squirt it off. I would actually suck the left overs out.

Yes, if it kills the coraline that is bad. This particular rock is pretty fantastic.

you can take a turkey baster and 'blow' the joes juice off to keep it from harming the coraline algae

i used 1 1/2 bottles of joe's juice to killnthe hundreds of aiptasia that I received from the LFS when they set up my tank. No probs for the coralline that I could ever tell. I wasn't nice with that stuff either. probably why I used so much... LOL.

IME if i didnt leave that extra bit to linger on the rock ,i would need to re apply it to kill them.Especialy on big ones.I used a lot also and the only ill effects were when one big chunck landed on some xenia.Killed that branch but it later grew back.Coraline recovered fast.

Don't worry too much...My coraline grows uncontrollably on my glass too....Every bit of my rock is coraline covered without use of products like PurpleUp....Which I don't like because I can't test much about the product in water tests...JUST BE PATIENT!

After 24 hours, most of it was gone from the rock. I just wound up using the handy-dandy baster and blew a couple "puddle" off. Still some white residue, but I think it'll be fine.

I'm already assuming I'll have to nuke those little bastiges again.
