I lost a branch of my torch coral, it just sort of melted away. They only problem i had was my nitrates were around 10. But now it looks like the tentacles of the branch that are still there are bubling up. Its sort of like they have warts or something, can someone please help?

Jason,

My first impression of your issue is probably the bio load in your tank that keeps your nitrates around 10ppm. My suggestion would be to correct the issues with your water quality. Check bio load ratio. If you are stocking your 29 gallon...3 or more fish maye be too many depending on the size of fish. In addition to water quality, water flow may be something to consider. Along with your nitrates check for your phosphate, calcium, alkalinty, and pH levels. Keeping your water quality above average is the most important key element in a reef aquarium. Good luck and I hope this helps you with your issue.
