Can I recover from this?

I have a 110 mixed reef that was nice but is slowly going down the tubes. My live rock is covered with bubble/ hair algae, my corals are slowly fading. Can I get that rock to come back with coraline? I use purple up and a 2 part calcium additive. Should I dump the rock and start over? I am lost. Due to my career my tank has suffered neglect lately. I am even considering going back to freswater. I need some advice here. Thanks.

I would do some waterchanges, that will help with the algae. That will also help with any contaminants that are harming your corals. If it has suffered neglect, you may need to replace your bulbs, that will also help out your corals. I would pick/scrub the algae off of the rocks (dont even need to take em out of the tank), and just generally give everything, including your filter components a good cleaning so they function up to par. That will at least get you going in the right direction.
