I currently own a 90 gallon mix (18 inches deep) and was in question to new lamp decisions. Hanging over my tank is an Aqua Medic dual 150 HQI 2x 54W T5's. SPS on top, LPS below that, and zoo's/leathers closer to the bottom. I prefer a blue tint, complemented with excellent growth and have heard wonderful things about the Reeflux line. In addition to this, I want some coloration out of my acro's. What kelvin would do the job? Any other lamp suggestions/comments are greatly appreciated.

I had coralvue 10k and reeflux 12k's and have stuck with the 12k's. Nice white/blue - corals pop - lots of PAR

I have used both. 12k will be bluer. But, it also depends on the ballast.

i'm struggling with this same decision. On my ballast (M57) the 12Ks have bad PPFD according to the charts. I would prefer the color of the 12K but will probably stick with the 10K with actinic supplementation due to growth concerns. I'm not sure what the par is on an HQI ballast.

I switched from XM 10k to Reeflux 12k and like the look a lot.

10k reeflux is brighter than 12k, it will be a little bit red, but no yellow

12k reeflux is my FAV. Blue and very bright
