What I thought were copepods seem to be pineapple "scypha" sponges, which seem to be spreading throughout my 28G tank. Is there any thing I can do to get rid of them? Is there a fish that may benefit from them? They are attached to my LR. Should I try to remove them? ANy input would be appreciated. Why a are they even there? They are not in my 12G tank

its probably just a hitchiker on that rock, I personally would leave them alone they are not a good thing and sponge is normally desired

I had those things growing in my SeaClone skimmer years ago.

i used to have tonnes of them in my sump and skimmer...LOL

no visible ones in my display though...i am sure they are there hiding behind the rocks...as they dont seem to like the light..

they are perfectly fine and safe...and an ecosystem indicator of generally good health...however too many could indicate a thriving population of nitrates or phosphates
