do I need a new probe?

after reading in the book it said it was cable fracture or short circuit

is there a profilux for dumbies manual (I cant make it past 3 pages of the manual A.D.D.)

Is it plug in the right bottom plug (next to the power cable) and pushed all the way in?? mine is a tight fit (from the cable plug to the edge of the controler)

Is the alarm light blinking?

As Christian says it sounds like a probe in the wrong port, that is the ONLY time we have ever seen this display.
