Looks nice and mature! might be time to consider fragging some of those corals out for more room! (or getting a bigger tank... my personal preference :)

i agree with you....having a hard time bringing myself to do it.....the anthelia in the top corner just got fragged in half if you can believe it......that used to be the whole left side of the tank......but I will have a hard time breaking those frogspawns up...so guess it will have to be a bigger tank...need a bigger house

Oh, forgot to ask... how long has it been set up? and how did you get that monti to grow vertical? look ssweet!

it's been set up almost 3 years.....monti is wierd not a good picutre but I had to break it in half since it was getting two big..if you look in the bottom left one piece if it is there and the other fell down being the rocks in the back and can't reach it....it was almost twice that size...not sure why i grew that way....probably light deprived before I got my 14k's.....used to run VHO's for almost 2 years or so.....but it has a platform that extends out towards the front now.....

Nice tank. I think that your finger leathers could look better with some careful pruning.

Beautiful tank, things are nice a grown out.

Here are my suggestions (just my opinion):

Cut out most of the anthelia on the top left and trim down the capnella on the bottom right. Stick in more rock on those places and add some more monti caps or large digi colonies.

I think some "hardness" to counter all the "puffyness" would made a huge difference.

Spread out your euphyllia throughout the tank. Everything has that puffy feeling but that may be what you are going for.

Having the hard cap on the right and the anthelia on the left do not balance that well and the concentration of euphyllia in the center is awesome but a bit overwhelming.

The front bottom left seems sparse compared to the right where the beautiful brain is.

These suggestions are just my personal taste, so dont take them personally or even listen to them for that matter!

agree....the one on the right side over the brain can't stand up anymore since it's so heavy.......i am going to hack it to pieces here in the near future......i can probably get 30 or 40 2" frags from it alone.....

nothing taken personally at all......bottom left is sparse compared to the right....but that was were all the anthelia used to be including where it is now....weed.....bottom left has about 40 mushrooms that you can't really see due to distance and picture quality and there is a mump leather that is two times the size it is in the picture just p@##$# that I moved it over there....that will fill it in some.....

Yeah man. I would love to see a few huge caps or digis on both ends of the tank!

if i moved those frogspawns my clowns would kill me......they don't like me to get near them now

i will see what I can do....I have been thinking about tossing all that anthelia away anyway....but the color on it is so much better now under the MH's....VHO's it was a ton of brown hair...but now it's more slivery color...but it might have to go...might have to get large read monti or even a bright green one if I can find it....don't feel like waiting for it to grow all over again...but I guess that's half the fun

thanks......but trust me it's crowded....got room for two more clams that are coming...and I have to be done without throwning some things out or doing some major trimming

I had to rip out a forest of kenya trees a little while ago. I replaced the area with a 7+ inch scroll coral.

I loved the kenya forest but the change itself was really nice and refreshing!

Nice tank.

My suggestion is to take a couple hours and fully scrape the back and side of the tank, and keep it up every month or two.

I personally made a dowel with a slit at the end, attached a razorblade to it and secured it. It made it really easy to get in every nook and cranny that my hand does not fit. It only takes a short time with a razorblade....

It will really make the corals in your tank stand out, and gives a tank depth.

a little bit better i think.....and I agree about scraping the tank.......just let that go a bit i guess

Change your flow pattern and that coral on the right that's leaning over may stand up with the current.
