need some advice. Do you think its ok to ciphon off a shallow sand bed thats only been in place a few weeks?

I wouldn't worry about it right now. the algae bloom will most likely go away on it's own.

but does it have to be mechanically, by stirring it up a tad and letting skimmer take it out? I bought a few tiger conchs to help out, and it seems to be working, never had this before so am very curious to the experience out there
