My tank almost 2 yrs old has many more acros than my old tank, and a larger reactor. The system has 600 gals with a reactor with 15 lbs of schuran style media, reactor is a geo style. I run it with a pinpoint controller set at 6.2, seems low enough. I dose 1/2 cup of baking soda daily to keep up with alk. Water change 5% weekly.

The big question is would it be better to buy a larger reactor?

Reactor in contention would be Schuran, geo. Interestingly enough schuran does not hold much more, I do not think, but it is reported to be super efficient. The larger geo holds 50 lbs., surely enough to sleep well at night, and never worry about enough ca.

Or Possibly lower ph in the reactor or try ARM small pellet type media.
