I mixed a batch of IO last night, about 13 hours ago, and it's still all cloudy. It is being mixed in a 5-gallon bucket with a Mag 5. I remember IO going clear after just an hour of mixing. Could CO2 in my condo have an affect on this?

Did you add the water to the salt or the salt to the water ?

Is the pump off now?

Is the pump off now? No.

I think what I did was this. I did a water change but accidentally took out too much water. So I had to make up a new batch quickly. So I took all the RO/DI water I had (2.5 gallons), put it in a bucket, and put in salt. After testing it an hour later I discovered that I only put about half the amount of salt needed. By that time, I had more RO/DI water made, so I added that for a total of about five-gallons. Then I added more salt, mixed it up with a big plastic spoon, and tested it and found the salt to be 35pts. It's been mixing all night with the Mag 5. Could that be why?

There often is solid material that won't dissolve. After 24 h, I'd stop the pump and just let it settle. :)
