Can two Harlequin Tusk be placed in the same tank or will they not tolerate each other?

Yep, no problems, and just a couple of weeks back another person did it as well and posted that they didn't have any issues either.

I believe if you introduce them when they are small enough (like many other fish) it can work.

I know that the conventional wisdom on this question is that it is a bad idea. However, as with many things in this hobby, the actual wisdom of the conventional wisdom is uncertain. As has been reported in this thread, there are multiple RC members who have attested that they have kept multiple tusks in the same tank without issue.
