I just replaced my 2 Seio 620's with 2 K4's for my 55g system. What an improvement. The Seios were good but I keep SPS so I bumped up the flow from 1240 GPH to 2400. The K4's produce a nice big gentle push of water and it goes all over the tank. Just have to position them for your needs. The magnetic swivel mounting brackets are great for placing them anywhere and to keep them from falling off the glass unlike suction cups Seio 620's.

I have 1 seio 620 in my 20L w/ a K1 Koralia. If you're pointing it from the front to back of the tank, it might be ok, if you're going from side to side you're going to need more. I have 2 820's in my 45g cube (24x24x18h) and going from front to back of that is just enough, I was thinking of getting 1100's and dialing them back if need be. I like the Seios because they still work after 5months on my ACJr's wave timer, vs. the K1's that pretty much died after a few weeks.. not really died, but got so noisy I couldn't stand it anymore.

It is going to be accompanied by 2 koralias. i was going to put it on the back of the tank with the cover on because they go from side to side right?

nope, they're stationary, they just point where you point them.

I think it only does it if you have the cover on:
so it looks like this

yeah, i had 2 of them like that for a month and they didn't move a fraction of an inch. the part you see there is friction fit onto the pump and only moves if you manually move it... I just looked at one I had sitting around.

The nozzle does not move on the out put of the seio 620 like a sea swirl. They are fixed and have to be positioned manually. I never ran them with the covers anyway.

oh, i assumed they moved from side to side liek the seaswirl did. Ill play about with them till i find a good spot.

I've never used those Seios but I've seen tanks with them. They seem to create a good amount of flow but they are BIG. The K4's are a little smaller and easier to aim. Those swivel brackets alone make them better than any other powerhead I've seen or used.

not to mention the koralias come w/ magnet mounts vs. having to buy them seperately w/ the seios. i like my seios since they work on my wave timer, but i think i'd rather have a few k2's in my tank instead... i think I may forgo the wave timer in the future and switch to the new korlias when they come out with the DC versions that will have their own timer.. should be a sweet set up.
