What do you guys think? I know glass is cheaper, but acrylic can last a lifetime and look 100x better the entire time.

Any ideas on prices?

it will only look 100x better if you can manage to keep from scratching it .... if not buffing is no fun =-( ... eh give me glass lol. sorry cant say on pricing on acrylic

I bought a tank just a little bit smaller and it cost me £275 thats $500 but thats with stand i think it would be around £175($350) without the stand

thats not too bad at all!

Plus my buddy just started working with the #1 custom acrylic tank maker in town. So I am going to get a good deal on things.

You can get scratches out of acrylic (you WILL scratch it) but cannot out of glass. There are pros and cons to both glass and acrylic but I chose to have two acrylic tanks.

I have 2 tanks a 110 and a 75 and am working on getting a 255 all acrylic. You never here of an acrylics tank side or bottom falling out. Glass scratches just like acrylic but for acrylic they make a kit to take them out. It really works to makes your tank look brand new. Good luck on your choice.

I definitely prefer acrylic to glass im not sure why but i just do. there is a product you can get called Novus i think that will get scratches out of acrylic. I dont think you can use it inside though. But with acrylic i think you have to be careful with tangs when they fight.
