I would like to add a couple of wrasses to my reef. It is a 7' 210 sps reef. I am looking at adding a mysteri, sunset and radiant wrasse. Do any of you think this will be a problem between the wrasses or with the reef???

If you have any shrimp, the Mystery Wrasse may eat them. That's what mine did.

Yes Mystery wrasses are pretty but can be aggressive, especially towards other wrasses.

If you can, get a supermale hawaiian flame wrasse! Very cool!

I think you should be good to go and i think you can add more wrasses than just that.

I personally doubt a mystery wrasse would eat a shrimp (maybe if it was 1/4 its size then yes). Even so a small mystery wrasse like the one i have doesnt eat shrimp. Anyhow if you happen to get a naughty Mystery then it may eat shrimp that are added after it is added.

snorvich is right too they do get aggressive especially toward new wrasse or a fish that looks some what like a wrasse (dottyback and etc). But from personal experience if the new wrasse can survive the first day then the mystery should stop over night.

Is that some type of yellow or red tailed Coris Wrasse?

Nope...that is the beautiful Leopard Wrasse....or New Guinea Fowl Leopard.....very hardy if you can find a good specimen that is eating at the store and doesnt have parasites. Like all leopard wrasses, hardy once established.

Well it all depends on how much you going to pay...
fairly cheap or below $100 is the clown fairy wrasse, flashers and etc

Well if you going for expensive wrasse there are:
1. Choati Leopard
2. Hawaiian Flame
3. Laboutei Fairy
4. Lineatus Fairy
5. Mystery
6. Peppermint (a Hogfish but is not as aggressive as the other ones IMO)
7. Rhomboid Fairy

I have a 300 gallon 10x2x2 tank with 7 wrasses and all get along fine. I have a mystery, solar, blue sided fairy, exquisite, filamented, lubbocks and a melanarus. None of them bother my inverts or shrimp and in fact I added 2 more cleaner shrimp last week and no one bothered them including the mystery. I do have a flame angel that gave chase to a couple of wrasses at first and in fact still gives the mystery the occasional courtesy chase for old times sake. Just make sure your overflows are fish proofed and your tank is covered because all wrasses jump, not if but when. I have even had my solar jump out when I opened the cover to feed and just put him back in.
