SM250 - RD pump - air question

Chris, were you able to find out from Klaus how the air intake is affected when the nozzle is turned out?

I re-read the manual, and it says that air intake is unaffected by turning the nozzle, but the pump itself says air ranges from 1600-2000 lph, which leads me to believe that the air can be restricted
